St Andrews and Panton Hill Transport Needs Assessment

In 2011, a transport needs assessment began for the St Andrews and Panton Hill areas, to identify the level of public transport need in the assessment area.

The assessment area included the areas of St Andrews, Cottles Bridge, Smiths Gully and Panton Hill, extending to Cherry Tree Road in the south and the Kinglake National Park boundary in the north.

The final report from the St Andrews and Panton Hill Transport Needs Assessment presents the baseline conditions in the assessment area including available results of the 2011 Census, and the findings from community feedback, in order to establish the level of public transport need in the assessment area.

It is concluded that the assessment area has unmet public transport needs but that the needs of this area could not be considered as a priority at this time relative to the needs of other areas with greater populations, higher incidence of social disadvantage and more suitable road networks.

The final report from the Transport Needs Assessment is now available for download.
